Juventus player Paul Pogba claims he is the target of an organized gang

Paul Pogba claims he has been the victim of extortion and threats from a gang. On Sunday, the Juventus and France midfielder released a statement through his attorneys stating that the situation had been reported to authorities.

According to AFP, French police have launched an inquiry, citing a source.

Earlier, Pogba’s brother Mathias posted videos online promising to publish “great revelations” about the player.

Mathias Pogba stated that the information was likely to be “explosive,” but provided no additional specifics.

“They are in addition to threats and extortion efforts on Paul Pogba by an organized gang,” the statement added.

“The authorities in Italy and France were informed a month ago, and no further remarks will be made in respect to the ongoing inquiry.”

Pogba, who won the World Cup with France in 2018, joined Juventus on a free transfer this summer after leaving Manchester United.

Matthias Pogba stated in his films that the “entire globe, as well as my brother’s supporters, and even more so the French team and Juventus, my brother’s team-mates and his sponsors, deserve to know some things.”

He also stated that the discoveries will include Pogba’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta.
